The work you will see here represents personal relationships with my surroundings.
My work consists of isolating color, textures and shapes in objects that I see. I remove some identifying features and replace them with simplified and invented features to create a strong and singular composition. I use watercolor on rag paper in a way that lets me build up color and texture to result in a richness and depth that is not typical in watercolor painting.
